The lab project is where “Big Nerd Energy” runs free—an ongoing, comprehensive reflection of my design career through blog format. It functions as a design journal and evolving body of work, featuring new tools, skills, experiments, research, and even failures. With no strict constraints, its focus is on learning, exploration, and sharing insights from firsthand experience. Over time, it will grow into an extensive collection—hopefully enough to break the website.
“A Light Within.” is the first step toward a larger long form blog and self-direct project, emphasizing the value of experimentation. Created in TouchDesigner—a node-based visual programming tool I had never used before, I was able to produce unique particle effects within an hour. This experience reinforced how my existing skills transfer into unfamiliar territory and highlighted the importance of growth through exploration. While this moment was encouraging, I recognize that the project will also involve challenges, and that failure is just as valuable a teacher as success.
